ECG- Electrocardiogram
Price £89
An ECG (electrocardiogram) is a quick, non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of the heart. It’s commonly used to assess heart rhythm, rate, and detect abnormalities in how the heart is functioning.

At Pembrokeshire Medical, we use a simple-to-use 6-lead ECG device that clips onto the body without the need for full chest electrode placement. This makes it more comfortable and convenient, while still providing valuable information about the heart’s electrical activity.

What an ECG can help detect:
-
Abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) – such as atrial fibrillation
-
Signs of previous or current heart attacks
-
Heart rate issues – including slow (bradycardia) or fast (tachycardia) rhythms
-
Electrolyte imbalances
-
Effects of certain medications on the heart
-
Heart enlargement or structural problems (in some cases)

Spirometry-
Lung Function Testing
Price £125
At Pembrokeshire Medical, we offer spirometry testing to assess lung function in a quick, safe, and non-invasive way. This test measures how much air you can breathe in and out, and how fast you can exhale, helping us evaluate how well your lungs are working. Spirometry is commonly used to support the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and to investigate symptoms such as persistent cough or breathlessness. It may also be recommended if there is a history of smoking, occupational or environmental exposure to respiratory irritants, or to monitor the effectiveness of treatment.

The initial spirometry appointment includes the testing and provision of results only. A separate follow-up consultation (£99) is required for in-depth interpretation, clinical explanation, and any necessary treatment planning.
