IUS- Hormonal coil

Follow-up care is also available to support you every step of the way.
IUD- Copper Coil
Copper coils (IUDs) for those seeking a highly effective, hormone-free method of contraception. It offers over 99% protection and can last up to 10 years, depending on the type. The copper coil can also be used as a reliable form of emergency contraception if fitted within 5 days of unprotected sex. The small implant is inserted just under the skin of your upper arm by one of our trained GPs in a quick and simple procedure. It’s over 99% effective and easily reversible if your plans change. At Pembrokeshire Medical, we offer both Depo-Provera (administered by a GP) and Sayana Press (a self-injectable option) as part of our contraceptive injection service.
